Hey Russ…quick note to let you know we had a great time Thursday and enjoyed our bike. Here is a photo from the ride…shadow shot of Jack & Suzanne; Suzanne. Peace, S
Thanks for the great photo!
Jack and Suzanne rode the Harley Dyna Street Bob in the 911 ride to benefit the families of the firefighters who lost their lives during 911.  The ride started at Cook’s Corner and traveled through the canyon and along the Pacific Coast Highway to Long Beach.  This photo of their shadow at sunset was taken by Suzanne from the back of the bike as they were participating in the ride.Russ

    Hi there,

I live in the UK my boyfriend and I are planning to come out to your part of the world in April / May time next year and spend a week on bikes. Can you tell me a bit more about insurance cover and cost in addition to hire prices I see - if it is in addition, if you can hire gear or if we should bring our own and our bike dirvers license is recognised in the US we both have big bike licenses with no restrictions. Also the prices qoutes as a week is that 7 days?

What is the weather usually like at this time of year?
I look forward to hearing from you and am very excited by the prospect of tying in a bike holiday with visiting family!!

    Kind Regards,

    Jessica

    Hello Jessica,

Thank you for your interest in renting a motorcycle next spring. The weather in Southern California is great for riding year round. April and May is a particularly good time because it is warm enough to ride in the mountains and still cool enough to ride through the desert. Thus your riding options are wide open.

The rental cost is $140 per day including tax plus insurance of $18.00 for the first day and $15 for each additional day. We offer a discount for a week rental (7 days) so that the rental cost is only $750. The insurance for a week would be $108 so that your total cost is $858.

The insurance covers collision, theft and liability. The deductible is $1,000. Thus, you are responsible for the first $1,000 of any damage or loss. The liability insurance provides coverage for damage to other people or their property up to a limit of $15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident and $5,000 for property. These limits can be increased to $300,000 per accident for an additional $4.95 per day.

Helmets are required in California and we provide them with the rental for no charge. We also rent leather jackets and chaps for $10 each per week. You can buy gloves and sunglasses here if you forget to bring yours.

In planning your trip, note we are open from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM every day except Monday. On Monday we are only open from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

You are required to have a motorcycle endorsement on your driver’s license. We accept the driver’s licenses from other countries as long as it indicates you are allowed to drive a motorcycle in your country.

We also require a deposit of $2,000. This deposit is authorized on your credit card a few days before the rental but is not actually charged to the card. We just check to make sure that amount is available on the card.

In order to hold the reservation and allow us to prepare the paper work ahead of time, please confirm which bike you prefer and provide your credit card information by phone.

If you need to cancel for any reason, please let us know at least 48 hours before your scheduled pick up time to avoid any charges. If you cancel within the last 48 hours before pick up or do not show up, we charge for one day and give you a credit for that amount towards a future rental anytime int eh next year.

I look forward to hearing from you.
